I purchased it this past weekend (after my Pavilion dv6324us died) and everything was running smoothly until this morning. I connected the laptop hdd on another pc via a usb to pata/sata adaptor and perfomed chkdsk. Check This Out

Evan Wondrasek Glad we could be of help! If one were to download the dump files I posted and look at them with the bluescreen viewer would that not yield all the answers one would need all at once? Using the site is easy and fun. So type that in: !analyze -v (just like that) and then wait a few seconds and it will output the rest of the debugging.  An odd thing about copying the information, left

This is so frustrating, but I am so glad its not the laptop and just the updates. see this here if this screen appears again, follow these steps: check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. The PC then “Automatically” updated and downloaded the same four patches. Yes it does!

I should have most of the installers saved.I'm pretty sure that would make it about my sixth re-installation of Windows since I got the computer last year. his comment is here I was pretty sure that was the problem and told the Dell Tech that but he wanted to go through his procedures anyway. Will try to fix later this morning…THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting. I was able to boot in safe mode with networking and when looking at the error log it showed that a lot of boot start drivers were not able to load.
