Avg Scan Stuck On Rootkits

I request you to repair AVG. I also can't stop, pause or cancel the scan. two can cause issues. I have uninstalled Ashampoo Firewall and switched MS Firewall on and AVG updates without any problem.

i have altered the settings as you said and restarted again but the scan keeps instantly starting again at 1% and 305 items scanned on rootkits. you can at least get back to "now" if it doesn't work. So I installed Malwarebytes (Free) which found over 1000 instances of malware and PUPs. Avg Stuck On Rootkit AVG AntiVirus Free's rootkit scan freezes and it is not possible to pause or stop it.
